The gasp I gasped that you can't get cheese for your PRETZEL AT YANKEE STADIUM! Stupid Yankees. Also shouting out the Portland Pickles as one of the most ridiculous and fun very minor leagues (I'm pretty sure they are a summer league for college players) to watch a game at! Highly recommend for anybody visiting Portland!

I wasn't going to comment but then you said this season 'the mariners continued to find new and creative ways to break my heart' and that hit like a baseball bat to the chest !!

and this was BEFORE the Julio pickoff at third this week!! they must stop hitting us with these baseballs to the chest

This popped into my head yesterday and I felt like crying lmao 💀 also not me telling the future with Julio literally dodging a baseball bat flying at his chest !!

I am also a perpetual Mariners Hope sufferer, so I feel your pain so much 😅

And minor league baseball is the best! I just finished out my second season working for one of the Ms minor league teams (miss you already, Aquasox!) and both seasons have been so incredibly fun and (generally) chill. Honestly teared up a bit after the final out on Sunday.

Never too soon to start looking forward to opening day!

There’s something about the scale of a minor league stadium that makes it feel more intimate. Quieter almost. You’re closer to the game. I sit in minor league stadiums and think about what the players are fighting for and working toward and can’t help but be romantic about baseball.

You have given me too much to respond to I don't even know where to begin. First of all, your picture framing is IMPECCABLE you must know that. Second of all, that Cyclones game (and the later Sounds game!) were SO fun, truly must do more of this with you every time we hang out during baseball season. I will never forget the Luis Estrada stand-in with his hoodie under his jersey. One day I hope you will write us a bonus story about [REDACTED] but I am also not trying to be greedy. Thank you for the Daphne Brink shoutout. And just in general, thank you for sharing your words -- always!

<3 I will of course be basing my 2025 schedule in large part around seeing as many games as possible with you

okay fine, i'll go see the frisco roughriders play!! you've convinced me! minor league games do sound more fun. not that my first major league game wasn't fun ... a bit overwhelming maybe.

i was hoping to see the mariners play the rangers again before the season ends but it's not meant to me (stares at my cheap knockoff JP jersey ☹️). probably for the best anyway 😅

i promise you i'll go to more games next season, it's shameful that I only went to one this year when all i've been doing is yapping about your book since Feb!! and of course the 2nd half of your post just makes me want to read it again 🥹

also I really need you to get on board with the bracelets please .. if you ever come to texas for a book event *HINT HINT* i'll be giving you some anyway 🤷‍♀️ and mine are awesome! ... okay i'm stopping now 😂💚

the minors are definitely a little less overwhelming!! both are very good, though!

You make a great case for minor league games! Now I am sad that I lived walking distance from the Bees stadium for over a year but never went.

I was going to take a picture The Prospects with the Dbacks' World Series trophy, since...you know. The Mariners do not provide a similar photo op. But alas, it wasn't available because they had pulled it off display so that they could have it at the team Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Did my Randy Johnson-related gloating reach an unacceptable level for my Mariners fan husband? Probably! But I was just following in the Mariners' well-trod path of hurting feelings! .
